Spinal Adjustments
Spinal adjustments are designed to correct subluxations and various types of pain related to spinal misalignments, whiplash, herniated discs, and other types of trauma. Dr. Fantasia utilizes the highly successful Gonstead Technique, which relies on a hands-only approach for treatment.
The Gonstead system was developed by Dr. C. S. Gonstead (1898-1978), the 'Miracle Man' of Chiropractic. His technique became the hallmark for the entire profession. With a background in mechanical engineering, he saw the human spine as an intricate engineering wonder and studied it every chance he had. His work with thousands of spinal cases, his constant clinical studies of the spine, and his own innate knowledge of how the spine works, explains his ingenuity in finding, identifying, and correcting subluxations no one else could. The Gonstead system gives rise to a specific, definite approach, to every segment of the spinal column. The detailed analysis includes instrumentation, digital palpation, motion palpation, and x-ray analysis, followed by adjusting the articulations of the spine by hand only! There is a clinical logic to every decision that is made for each distinct patient. This ensures that the principles outlined by Dr. Gonstead will be duplicated, and results achieved for our satisfied patients!

Acupuncture Treatments
We offer traditional acupuncture, an ancient therapy from China, in addition to other modalities for optimal healing and wellness. With aims at targeting specific pinpoints that correlate with pathways or meridians in the body, pain relief and healing are escalated. The World Health Organization supports research confirming the efficacy of acupuncture therapies in treating pain, inflammation, allergies, headaches, and TMJ disorder, to name just a few conditions. Beyond needle acupuncture, our Ontario acupuncturist offers:
- Cupping — This therapy uses heated cups which are placed upon the treatment zone, creating suction may help facilitate blood flow.
- Electro Acupuncture — A method using electrical currents in combination with traditional needles for natural pain relief.
- Gua Sha — A specialized treatment that gently scrapes skin to break down scar tissue or relieve tension and pain.
